Dr. Michelle Momany is a Professor of Fungal Biology at the University of Georgia. Her research focuses on the polar growth in the model filamentous fungus Aspergillus nidulans and the pathogen Aspergillus fumigatus. Major projects in her lab focus on the septins, novel cytoskeletal proteins, in A. nidulans and on dormancy and germination of spores of Aspergillus fumigatus.
